Shane Cortese The Class of 58

After years of West End and UK national tours with some of rock ‘n roll’s biggest stage musicals, Shane Cortese returned home to New Zealand to take up a two-year contract on local New Zealand television drama. It was at this point Shane compiled a 17-piece rock ‘n roll band extravaganza aptly named it after the greatest year in rock ’n roll history!

The show takes you back to a time of innocence and when music begged you to dance and sing along. Jam packed with favourite and unforgettable tunes from the 50’s. The show is charted for medleys and additional instruments such as saxophone, trumpet and trombones and has filled some of the largest theatres in New Zealand.

A sell-out national tour in 2006 cemented the show as a hot ticket for this year when it has sold out several more times around New Zealand in 2007.

The Show is the brainchild of lead singer, Cortese and lead guitarist Chet O’Connell and with easy to read charts and a wealth of musical directing experience, the show can be offered to Cruise Companies utilising the in-house Orchestra, as well as corporate events, functions and weddings/ special celebrations.
