With over 15 years experience being a Christchurch DJ, DJ Kere knows what it takes for a great night out.
Be reassured that DJ Kere can cater for any party type situation. He is able to read crowds, people and guests. Not everyone is the same and everyone has different tastes in music. DJ Kere is able to play the right music for you. He listens to your guests and more importantly you " the clients" needs and requirements for the night.
Using the latest Skytronics Citronics Speaker and Lighting Systems, combined with Numak CD Players, We are confident in bringing a great sound/atmosphere to your party.
About DJ Kere
I started my career working for Christchurch Discos under my mentor DJ Joe. I started off working with him at The Bush Bar. I stayed with Christchurch Discos for a couple of years working at various bars.
From there I worked for Canterbury Entertainment for about 3 years. Our main events were private functions, Weddings, Birthdays etc. While I was with them, I became their number 1 DJ, thanks to Paul and Sam my private functions expertise grew.
With my main job commitments growing, I retired for a short time but still did the odd request job for Canterbury Entertainment. When I changed my job I went back into Mobile DJing. I soon started working for Night Shift Discos, subcontracted by Playtime Promotions, working in bars, private functions and schools throughout Canterbury, where I have been working for the past 8 years.
I am very excited to be taking what I have learnt over the past 15 years and starting my own DJ Business.
Music
The right music for the right party can do wonders for a great night out. I carry what is known as a "basic music list". All the greats from Abba to Black Eye Peas, Andy Kim to Pearl Jam in fact you'd be surprised at what I have.
From keeping your old folks to the young ones happy, isn't an easy task especially when music is involved. So when choosing music to play on the night I use a rotation system to keep everyone happy. It's a proven system that works. playing songs that everyone knows and can either sing along or dance to, then to mix up throw in the rare song so others in your party can enjoy as well. This way everyone gets what they want.
More importantly I play within the rules of the night from the bookings. What that means is if you want a certain type of music to be played or don't want to be played I will respect that.

I am emailing you on behalf of the committee of the now finished Vbase Social Club, to say many thanks for the great DJ you sent to do the music for our wind up party last night at the Tuck Shop CBS Canterbury Arena.
He was superb, had great songs, we weren’t a big crowd but we all enjoyed it so please pass on our thanks to him.
I am sure we will touch base again in the future
