Promoted by Playtime Promotions and Showcase Entertainment Group the legendary Gerry Marsden returned to New Zealand in April 2009 after a 10 year absence for a special tour of 8 shows throughout New Zealand with very special guest Shane Cortese in support. Famous for his Liverpool heritage and his many hits including Ferry Cross the Mersey and You'll Never Walk Alone.
Gerry and Shane left their many fans wanting more and requesting another tour in the not to distant future.
Legendary ‘Country Rocker’ JADE HURLEY is once again rolling into New Zealand ... performing the music which defined the bobby sox and blue suede shoes and early country music era.
Venues will be jumping ... as the multi Gold and Platinum pumping piano playing showman and star of the hit New Zealand television show “THAT’S COUNTRY” brings the Classic hits of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jim Reeves, Johnny O’Keefe, Johnny Horton, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and many others to the stage.
It was a result of his enormous popularity on “That’s Country” and the subsequent sell out concert tours that he has been awarded two GOLD and two PLATINUM awards for his enormous record sales in New Zealand.
You’ll rock away to “Great Balls of Fire”, “Running Bear”, “Old Time Rock and Roll”, “Ring of Fire”, “Peggy Sue”, “Runaway”, “Sweet Little Sixteen”, the show stopping Elvis classic “An American Trilogy” and so much more.
Awarded an OAM (Order Of Australia Medal) in 1999 for his tireless work for charitable organisations including The National Heart Foundation, The Australian Cancer Foundation for Medical Research, The Arthritis Foundation and Camp Quality among many-many others, plus his never ending contribution to Australia’s music industry, the diamond encrusted Star of 6 O’Clock Rock, Bandstand, The Mike Walsh, That’s Country, Kerri-Anne and Bert Newton shows “hit the road” in June 2005 on his historic “ROCKIN’ IN THE JAYCO MOTORHOME” Tour ... and has been touring right around Australia (the full circle) travelling over 21,000 Klms ... performing concerts all the way. And he is heading to New Zealand in February of 2005.
His energetic and unique style of performing Rock ‘n’ Roll and country music “classics” brings audiences of all ages are to their feet – showing their appreciation with rousing standing ovations.
